Residents often ask me about the amount and type of printing we do as a Green Party.
For independent councillors and small parties like the Green Party our opportunities to get our message across are much more limited than for say Labour or the Conservatives with the their MP’s sitting at Westminster. That means we have to work harder at getting our message across and that sort of means to create anything like a level playing field we have to print and deliver more leaflets.
But, we are recognising that we need to practice what we preach and we have committed to use a much greener printer where possible. Our new printers ‘People For Print’ don’t do everything we need but I’m hoping they can do most of what we need. Their service gives us:
– 100% recycled paper
– water based inks
– carbon neutral delivery service (via off setting)
