A city councillors Paul and I have been informed that that the proposed Toucan Crossing across Bath Road is now nearing its initiation. It will be built near the junction of Norton Road and Bath Road.
Highways will be closing Bath Rd to traffic on the 21st and 28th July for the removal of the pedestrian refuge and again on the 8th and 15th Sept to lay the High friction surfacing (HFS).
Norton Road will be closed through the entire duration of the project.
The rest of the works will be undertaken with two way lights which will be manually controlled in an attempt to limit traffic backing up onto St. Peters roundabout and the Ketch.
